Snapchat, CBS, Flurry Among Industry Influencers to Discuss App Monetization Strategy

Los Angeles, CA (Oct. 17, 2013) – Snapchat, Flurry, CBS, OpenX, SessionM and other industry-leading publishers and platforms will participate in a Monetization Workshop for mobile app developers hosted by the Application Developers Alliance on October 18. The half-day event, which takes place in Santa Monica and is available via livestream, will help developers understand monetization strategy.

2 p.m.             Publishers Panel – Monetization Strategies

3 p.m.             Platform Panel – Monetizing with Tools

4 p.m.             Featured Presentation 

Publishers Panel: Moderated by OpenX, leading app publishers MEDL Mobile, CBS Interactive, Mobile Deluxe and Mobile Roadie will share their experience developing monetization strategies and weigh the costs and benefits of options like in-app purchases, freemium models, referral marketing, and virtual currency.

Platform Panel: Geoff Hollingworth of Ericsson will lead representatives of SponsorPay, Eclipse.io, DoublePositive and PaeDae in a discussion about what developers need to know when adopting monetization strategy.

Featured Presentation: In a final presentation led by Snapchat, industry-leading monetization experts, including Flurry, AdColony and SessionM, will explain how apps make money beyond the banner.
