Washington, D.C. (May 9, 2013) – Today the Application Developers Alliance launched a national network of coworking spaces for its members. The Alliance has partnered with 80 coworking spaces in 50 cities across the U.S. to provide developers a place to work, often at a discount, at home or on the road. More spaces are being added daily.
“Many Alliance members are already building businesses, driving innovation, and bringing products to market out of coworking spaces,” said Jon Potter, Application Developers Alliance President. “Our Coworking Network will save many of our members much needed capital and help even more find working environments that foster collaboration and help developers do their best work.”
“We believe that startups are the ‘bread and butter’ of innovation,” said Nancy Gonzalez, Director of SoTechie Spaces in New York City. “Our mission is to connect the makers behind these startups with the ideas and creativity to drive their success. We hope to be a part of this process by offering resources and an environment that is conducive to achieving milestones ahead.”
“Coworking environments are affordable and cooler than your traditional office space,” said Kathryn Christiansen of myBusinessBar in Salt Lake City. “They provide a flexible mix of workspace options that cater to the sole entrepreneur or mobile worker. These coworking communities increase your network and connections made with other members offer valuable outside perspective for your ideas. Individuals and small business owners increase their productivity from working together rather than alone.”
More than 40 of the Alliance coworking partners offer Alliance members a discounted rate. The Alliance Coworking Network will continue to expand in the coming months.
