Washington, D.C. (November 28, 2012) – The Application Developers Alliance will conclude its national Privacy Summit Series in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. The final Privacy Summit will be held at 6:30 PM at Living Social and will be co-hosted locally by Hinge, Spinnakr, MoDev, Future of Privacy Forum, and Fortify.vc. The Series is sponsored nationally by TRUSTe, AT&T, and Evidon.
Policy makers across the country are making decisions about app privacy. With its Privacy Summit Series, the Alliance has given developers a voice in the debate. The series has made successful stops in 10 cities nationwide, including Austin, San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, and Boulder.
The Alliance and its members have been full participants in the multi-stakeholder meetings on mobile app privacy and transparency convened by the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications & Information Administration. Thursday’s Privacy Summit series will include an update on those discussions and what to expect at the next meeting, which will be held Friday.
