Washington, D.C. (December 3, 2012) – Today, the Application Developers Alliance welcomed eight new corporate members, including Edmodo, Innoppl, LeadBolt, Mobile Application Consultants, Mobtest, TapFame, Troop ID, and WillowTree Apps.

“WillowTree Apps is one of the largest mobile development companies in the U.S., and we’re excited to bring our experience to the Application Developers Alliance. We joined because the Alliance gives our industry a voice, and we’re ready to work with them to advance the industry,” said Michael Prichard, Founder and CTO of WillowTree Apps.

“LeadBolt is really excited to join the Application Developers Alliance and we are looking forward to sharing our knowledge and technology with its members. We strongly believe in the free app economy and have developed innovative solutions and tools to aid developers in monetizing their assets,” said Dale Carr, CEO of LeadBolt.

As Alliance members, the companies will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Alliance’s network of more than 15,000 application developers, sponsor events, access industry research, and join Alliance policy advocacy efforts. In addition, the new members will be able to participate in Alliance working groups. Edmodo will serve as Vice Chair of the soon-to-be-launched Kids and Education working group. Willow Tree Apps will join the soon-to-be-launched Health and Medical apps working group.

“Edmodo’s mission is to connect all learners with the people and resources they need to reach their full potential. As the largest and fastest growing direct-to-teacher distribution channel, we’re excited to collaborate with app developers who are building games, tools, and interactives that have a positive impact on student learning,” said Tarunya Govindarajan, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Edmodo.

“The companies joining the Alliance today are entrepreneurs and leaders in the app ecosystem. These companies are coming up with innovative solutions to developer and consumer problems, from Troop ID, which helps service members and veterans verify military affiliation online, to Mobtest, which supports developers launching apps,” said Jon Potter, Application Developers Alliance President.
