Edward Schmit

AT&T Developer Program

Edward Schmit is an Executive Director (Acting) with the AT&T Developer Program, where his mission is to provide support and guidance for the developer community focused on APIs. He has been with AT&T for several years. During his career at AT&T, he has co-authored the Wireless Reference Architecture and several white papers while enlightening budding mobile application entrepreneurs through programs like AT&T’s “Open Call”. He also has a patent pending for an application delivery platform. Additionally, he serves on the Application Developers Alliance Board. Prior to joining AT&T, he worked for Intel in a variety of roles and while there he helped found the Khronos Group. Edward earned his B.S. degree from MIT, a MS in engineering from the University of Washington, and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
