The Developers Alliance is thrilled to participate in the World Summit AI event taking place in Montreal.
Join our team for a one-hour workshop on Day 1, April 19th, 2023, from 3:10 pm to 4:10 pm.
Bruce Gustafson, Alyssa Lefaivre Škopac, and Phil Dawson are the workshop participants, and they will be joined by Geoff Lane, the Head of U.S. Policy, and Anu Gopalakrishnan, the Head of Developer/Partner Relations, both from the Developers Alliance, who will serve as moderators. The workshop, entitled “Three Practical Steps to Handle Future Regulations,” will focus on the three things that AI regulators will demand in the future, and it will offer practical solutions that companies can adopt now to ready themselves for these particular regulations.
AI regulations are currently in a state of flux, with every government planning to establish local regulations. However, we can anticipate what will be included in the regulations, codes, and frameworks based on the emerging draft rules. What can companies do now to prepare for compliance once the regulations are officially announced? Moreover, what are the unique challenges posed by AI development that are not found in traditional development?
This workshop aims to provide a practical and actionable checklist of steps for engineering teams to take now in order to become heroes tomorrow. The checklist will cover the following points:
- Have a clear understanding of the data on which your model is trained.
- Define the limitations of your system.
- Brainstorm potential failures of your system and the harm that could result from them.
Members of the Developers Alliance can obtain a free pass to the World Summit AI in Montreal on April 19-20th by emailing community@developersalliance.org. Non-members can access a 20% discount by using the Code WSAIAM20. Register HERE.
