The Collection of Personal Data

Please be aware that most of our websites are available and open to you without having to provide any Personal Data (defined below). However, in order to access and use certain Developers Alliance properties and resources or parts of websites, we may request Personal Data from you, like your name, e-mail address, company name and telephone number (personally identifiable information or “Personal Data”). The Alliance uses this information to customize your experience as an Alliance member on our web site and provide you with a password to use these web sites, or for the purposes stated at the time of collection, such as participation in a promotion or enable internal process audits or prevent fraud. As a Developers Alliance member, you consent to the use, transfer, export and retention of your Personal Data as set out in this privacy policy. Consequently, after registering, The Alliance may use this submitted information for the purposes for which you and The Alliance have intended and to provide you with additional information, such as alerting you to services that can assist you in your business. The Alliance will maintain personal data in an appropriately secure environment to ensure confidentiality.

We may also occasionally send newsletters to our registered users. To unsubscribe from these newsletters please follow the directions in these emails.

The Alliance aims to ensure that any Personal Data held by the Alliance is accurate. You may update, delete or amend your Personal Data held by The Alliance by contacting the Alliance at: contact@developersalliance.org. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy.  We may provide your personal data to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as shipping your order or offering member service. These companies are authorized to use your personal data only as necessary to provide these services to us.

In certain situations, Developers Alliance may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

We do not tie Personal Data to domain information, except as necessary to prevent abuse or fraud on our site. Our blog is also managed by third party applications that may require you to register/ login to their platform to post a comment. We do not have access or control of the information you post through these third party applications. You will need to contact or login into third party application if you want your personal information that was posted to the comments section remove. We may display personal testimonials of members or partners on our website in addition to other endorsements. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at contact@developersalliance.org.
