Washington, D.C. (September 20, 2012) – The Alliance expanded its corporate membership today, adding seven innovative tech startups. The Alliance is glad to be able to extend membership benefits to the innovative companies houses in The Fort.
Fortify.vc is committed to the idea of founders funding founders. In early 2012, they launched The Fort as a hub for startups in DC.
The Fort is home to over a dozen companies working side-by-side with mentors and VC’s in a collaborative and open workspace. Companies are hiring, growing, collaborating, disrupting, and supporting others in the DC Tech community. Founders, mentors, sponsors, partners, and the Fortify.vc team are working together to accelerate startups at The Fort.
The Alliance provides member services such as a Network for discussion and collaboration, forums where members can ask advice of legal experts, service discounts that range from app discovery services to tech events, opportunities for self-promotion, an exclusive jobs board and events calendar, and access to educational materials. In the policy arena, the Alliance continues to focus on outcomes that will sustain and support a culture of innovation.
