Application Developers Alliance Is Rapidly Expanding

Washington, D.C. (June 14, 2012)Today the Application Developers Alliance, the primary association representing app developers, announced that it is adding Applico, Appency, AppMonsta, and Temboo as members, continuing the group’s rapid expansion.

The companies, which all provide tools and support for developers in the apps economy, join nearly 7,000 individual developers and nearly 70 companies as Alliance members.

“The Application Developers Alliance is really the first advocacy group to step up and represent the specific needs of mobile developers,” said Applico’s CEO, Alex Moazed. “We’re excited to play such a significant role in shaping the future of this industry as part of the Alliance.”

Applico is a mobile consulting and development firm with headquarters in New York City. Applico advises its clients on the mobile technology landscape, partners with them to create a focused long-term mobile strategy, and executes that strategy across all major platforms and operating systems. In addition to joining the Alliance, Applico’s Chief Technology Officer will be a discussion leader at the Alliance’s New York Privacy Summit event.

Appency is the leading PR and Marketing agency dedicated to helping app developers succeed in the ever growing and changing app store environments.

“The App Developers Alliance has a great track record on highlighting important issues in our industry that can affect the marketing of apps, such as privacy concerns and black hat marketing techniques. We are proud to be a part of the organization and help guide the direction of these conversations to the betterment of both app makers, and app users,” said Aaron Watkins, President of Appency.

Temboo builds tools that simplify and innovate app development. They make smart, elegant, and ready-to-use shortcuts that developers can drag and drop right into their code. Called Choreos, these code snippets take care of the parts of API integration that cause so much developer grief, freeing them to focus on the fun stuff. Temboo’s comprehensive Library has Choreos for over 70 of the most-utilized APIs (and counting). They are based in the cloud and NYC.

AppMonsta provides cutting-edge tools and data for better understanding the mobile app eco-system. Analysts, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs are using AppMonsta’s big data and analysis of app markets to gain big advantages over their respective competition.

“Our recent crop of new members illustrates how broad the apps ecosystem is,” said Jon Potter, Alliance President. “Creating and promoting an app effectively often requires professional, systemic support from many different angles. Our corporate members stretch across the spectrum from the developers who create apps to the marketing professionals who help make those apps successful.”
