Washington, D.C. (October 29, 2012) – Today, the Application Developers Alliance welcomed nine new corporate members. AppStori, Double Positive, EachScape, FilePicker.io, Intuit, Kick Punch Labs, Mobinable, Smaato, and Tapjoy have joined.
“AppStori’s decision to join the Application Developers Alliance was based on the importance of the work that the organization is pursuing and a shared belief in empowering app developers and entrepreneurs. We’re excited to be an active member of the Alliance community, and look forward to working closely together to help developers bring their ideas to market,” said Arie Abecassis, co-founder of AppStori.
As Alliance members, the companies will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Alliance’s network of more than 15,000 application developers, sponsor events, access industry research, and join Alliance policy advocacy efforts. In addition, the new members will be able to participate in Alliance working groups. Tapjoy and Intuit will become members of the soon-to-be-launched working group focusing on mobile payments.
“There’s an incredible opportunity right now to help drive how consumers, content creators and advertisers embrace and evolve the mobile ecosystem. We are excited to be active members in the Application Developers Alliance, as well as its mobile payments working group, to help define and champion the policies and solutions that will shape the mobile space for years to come,” said Peter Dille, CMO at Tapjoy.
“The companies joining the Alliance today help developers bring their great ideas to consumers, whether they help with app creation, promotion, or monetization. We’re thrilled that these companies have become part of the Alliance,” said Alliance President Jon Potter.
