Washington, DC (April 10, 2014) – Today the App Developers Alliance praised Senate Judiciary Committee leaders for reaching agreement on patent reform. The Alliance also encouraged Senators to vote quickly on the measure after the upcoming Congressional recess.
“We are pleased to hear that members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have reached broad bipartisan agreement on patent reform. We have great faith in Senators Leahy, Schumer, Grassley, Cornyn and their colleagues, and look forward to seeing their draft after the recess,” said Jon Potter, President of the Application Developers Alliance. “For entrepreneurs, there is no recess from patent trolls—fighting trolls is a seemingly endless drain on time and resources that could be better spent. We urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to vote quickly to advance patent reform that stops trolls in their tracks and lets America’s entrepreneurs get back to work.”
