Brussels, EU, January 23th, 2023 – The Developers Alliance announces the submission to the European Commission’s Consultation regarding The Cyber Resilience Act. The Cyber Resilience Act introduces harmonized essential cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements (hardware and software), attested by CE marking. It complements existing legislation, particularly the broader framework provided by NIS2 Directive.
The position paper presents suggestions to improve the legal text, calling on the EU lawmakers to ensure:

Karina Stan, Director of EU Policy of the Developers Alliance, issued the following statement:
“There’s no such thing as 100% secure, no matter the standards or certification processes. However, the Cyber Resilience Act could improve the security of various digital products. Software developers will benefit from clear and agile rules, allowing them to implement the best cyber security practices.”
